Who we are

Ogniz (“Ogniz”, “we”, “us”) is an AI-powered file management and knowledge organization service operated by LAAI Inc., 2810 N Church St, NUM 884167, Wilmington, DE 19802. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Ogniz web app and desktop app at ogniz.com.

Information we collect

• Account information — your email address and authentication credentials, used to create and secure your account.
• Files and folders — files you upload to Ogniz or connect from your NAS, DAS, or local storage, along with file metadata, so that we can display, organize, and index them for you.
• Email data — when you connect Gmail or use your personal Ogniz forwarding address, email messages, headers, and attachments, used to display and organize your mail inside your workspace (see “How we use Google user data” below).
• Connected messaging data — Telegram, Slack, Discord, and LINE messages and attachments you route into Ogniz through an integration you enable.
• Derived content — summaries, tags, knowledge-graph relationships, and search indexes generated from your content to power Ogniz features.
• Usage and device data — basic logs needed to operate, secure, and debug the service.

How we use Google user data (Limited Use)

When you connect your Gmail account, Ogniz requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly scope and your email address. We use Gmail data solely to synchronize your email messages and attachments into your Ogniz workspace, where they are displayed, organized, linked to related files and people, and made searchable by you. Access is read-only: Ogniz never sends, modifies, or deletes mail in your Gmail account.

We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it. No humans read your Gmail data except (a) with your explicit permission, (b) as necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, (c) to comply with applicable law, or (d) when the data has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.

Ogniz’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

AI processing

Ogniz’s intelligence features are powered by PSL, LAAI’s proprietary model. For certain features, we share the minimum necessary content with third-party AI providers — OpenAI and Anthropic — who are contractually bound to use it only to provide services to Ogniz and are prohibited from using it to train their models. Google user data is never used to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your content for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual files, emails, and notes at any time, and you can delete your entire account from the app, which removes your content and revokes connected integrations. When you disconnect Gmail, we stop accessing your mailbox and delete the stored authorization tokens. You can also revoke Ogniz’s access at any time from your Google Account security settings (myaccount.google.com/permissions).

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and tenant isolation. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.

Your choices

You can connect or disconnect Gmail and other integrations at any time from the app, delete your content, or delete your account. To exercise data-access or data-deletion requests, contact us at the address below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
